Hello Ed.
As one of my friends is a Barcelona fan, I was wondering if you would be willing to tell a bit about their transfer plans? :)

{Ed002's Note - They are looking to make significant changes over the next couple of years and are looking at the likes of:

Andre Onana (G) Barcelona will speak with Ajax who will fight hard to keep him

Emerson (RB) agreed already - one for the future

Candido (LWB) - one for the future
Nicolas Tagliafico (LB) - looking unlikely
Ruben Vinagre (LB) - a Candido option

Matthijs de Ligt (CB) one issue yet to be resolved
Vitao (CB) 19 year old from Palmeiras

Ludovit Reis (DM) one for the future

Houssem Aouar (CM) Manchester City approached Lyon about Aouar and Ndombele and it was made clear in Milan that only one of these two key players will be allowed to leave this summer, unless particularly stupid money is offered. Regardless, Barcelona remain keen on the player.
Frenkie de Jong (CM) - already afreed

Nabil Fekir (AM) has been watched and an offer is possible but a move unlikely
Nicolo Zaniolo (AM) - can be struck from the list
Joao Felix (AM) - Barcelona accept it won't happen
Juan Mata (AM/RW) - a possible short term option
Takefusa Kubo (AM) the player that was the cause of the transfer ban for Barcelona is again the attention of Barcelona and an English side, with Bayern Munich having raised the matter of the player's future when contacted by FC Tokyo over another player. PSG and Real Madrid also have eyes for the kid.
Donny van de Beek (AM) a financially viable option

Mo Salah (RW/LW) - agent is pushing but they have no interest given what is being asked for
Nicolas Pepe (RW) - Malcom replacement but very unlikely to happen
Willian (RW/LW) would save money for elsewhere in the side but there is an issue recruiting him

Antoine Griezmann (F)
Gabriel Jesus (F) available and seen as an as an alternative to GriezmannAlexander Isak (S) the player is to discuss his future with Dortmund
Luka Jovic (S) can be struck from the list
Rafael Leao (F) Lille have rjected an approach for the player
Marcus Rashford (F) Manchester United will price him out of a move
Maxi Gomez (F) - Suarez replacement but the lack of an EU passport makes it unlikely unless Malcom is sold

Leaving:

Jasper Cillessen (GK) - player wants to move to get a regular start
Nelson Samedo (RB) available for sale or trade
Jorgi Alba (LB) - patience is wearing thin
Samuel Umtiti (CB) decision is that he is not up to scratch - to be sold when fit
Jeison Murillo (CB) - not planning on taking up the option
Thomas Vermaelen (CB) time has come
Ivan Rakitic (CM) borderline - seen as a good player but aging
Denis Suarez (CM) is a player who is reluctant to leave Barcelona but is concerned at the lack of game time but will return from Arsenal in the summer
Rafinha (CM) - available
Andre Gomes (CM)
Arturo Vidal (CM) Will make him available
Philippe Countinho (AM) with their need for money they will sell if the money is right (about €100M), and at a fee below what they paid, or perhaps over paid for him
Malcom (RW) - the club will let Malcom go and use the fast progressing Carles Pérez as cover if necessary
Ousmane Dembele (W/F) - attempts to include him in a transaction for another player failed and with their need for money they will sell if the money is right (about €80M), and at a fee below what they paid, or perhaps over paid for him.
Paco Alcacer (F) - already gone
Kevin-Prince Boateng (S) - not planning on taking up the option
Luis Suarez (S) will test the MLS waters over a move to the Seattle Sounders or maybe elsewhere if he can
Lionel Messi (F) was expected to move in 2020 if a certain chap gets his wish - maybe 2021 given some issues}

Ed002,

I'd imagine this might be a topic you may wish to avoid if so feel free to not post this.

Matthijs De Ligt - the one issue to be resolved is it expected to be resolved as not sure whether you are aware but MU are being mentioned as the new frontrunner for his signature so it has many supporters getting there hopes up.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - There remains an issue to be resolved with Barcelona as I have explained.}
