Hi Ed002,
Hope you’re keeping well.
I was wondering what the latest is on Dembele and if any club has made an approach for him?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Ousmane Dembele (LW/RW/F) Barcelona could be stuck with the player as it is unlikely other clubs will match their valuation and his recent injury may be a problem in terms of proving fitness - unless he can be used as part of another transfer or the price drops considerably. Liverpool had enquired after his price but likely would only want a loan with an option to buy. PSG would resist his involvement as part of a deal for Neymar and may well press for AG or AF. Juventus could just be open to a loan but will not want to buy the player. This could be very disruptive to other transfer plans. Player is not keen on leaving Barcelona.}

Great update ed. Thank you
It really is a crazy amount of money Barcelona have spent. Do you think Koeman is a good appointment?

{Ed002's Note - Potentially perfect - if he gets the responsibilities he needs.}

I have a feeling he will do well and quite surprised a lot of people seem to think he will not be successful there. Was Pochettino not considered for the role? I would like to see him back managing at a top club.

{Ed002's Note - The realistic choice was between Xavi and Koeman (who is the ideal solution given that they neeed to start rebuilding - bringing the best of the youth through and buying younger players). Koeman is a strong character and will be given support.}

Hi Ed002, if the club are looking at younger signings, will they still be looking to add Neymar?

{Ed002's Note - It is less likely now because of something else - not the new coach.}

Thanks ed. I think Xavi would have been a mistake due to the size of the job at hand.

{Ed002's Note - I agree.}
