Hi Ed,

Lots of reports of Messi *actually* telling the Barcelona board of his intention to leave the club.

As much as I take any mention of Messi leaving with a pinch of salt, I'm getting a very CR7 to Juve vibe from how widespread these are, with Puyol coming out with his support for Leo.

If this is actually going to happen, realistically what are his options and who is likely to throw their hat in the ring?

I read that due to the league extension until august that his exit clause was also extended, so there would be no fee to FCB. Is this also true and would this have any affect on any of the possible moves?

I totally understand if you don't want to delve into it just yet but could you give names of the other clubs that Messi could move to?

I can think of Juve, Bayern, Chelsea and maybe Utd.
