Hello Ed002,

Apologies if you have already answered this on here or the European pages, I've tried the search function and haven't found anything since January, but with Griezmann signing a new contract with Atletico, I am wondering who Barcelona see as potential incomings in the forward areas instead of him? And also, is there any update on Luis Suarez getting offered to clubs (I saw you say the clubs he had been offered to a little while ago weren't interested) - is he now likely to stay this Summer?

Thanks in advance!

Reid the Red

{Ed002's Note - Hirving Lozano, Gabriel Jesus and Christian Pavon are still the options. The clubs that I know LS was offered to were not interested.}

What's going on at Barcelona currently.

They're such a huge club, treble winners just over two seasons ago.

But, without using the term crisis, it feels like all is not right at the club.

Neymar has gone. Fine. But they're yet to sign the players they've targeted as his and Iniesta's replacement (Dybala, Dembele, Coutinho etc.) with no signs that they're any closer.

They were beaten comfortably by rivals Real Madrid last week. Messi and Iniesta haven't signed new deals. They have a relatively thin squad when compared to their great sides in recent years, no disrespect to some of their players.

But even in their 3-0 defeat to Juve on aggregate in the Champions League last season, there were signs that their European superiority was diminishing.

Do you think we're beginning to see the beginning of the end, so to speak, of this great Barcelona side, or do you believe that they will come through this still able to challenge domestically and in Europe this season?

I'm just wondering whether or not Barcelona are going to put another bid in for Philippe Coutinho? I don't trust what I read online or see on Sky Sports about Barca supposedly ending their interest haha!

Hey Ed002,

Any chance of that Barca transfer roundup? I've seen your updates regarding Neymar, Verrati, Coutinho etc but just wondering about any other possible ins and outs?

Cheers

{Ed002's Note - I don't have the time to do too much now.}

Hey Ed002,

You mentioned back on Nov 30th that Barcelona would allow Lionel Messi to leave. Are any clubs seriously interested in the player and, if so, could they conceivably afford his fee and wages plus all the extras like agent fees, bonusses, image rights etc?

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!

Reid the Red

{Ed002's Note - There would be interest should he not have signed a new contract by the summer window and some clubs can ceratinly afford him. Barcelona has put a new contract on the table and a new manager will be arriving in the summer - I expect that he will sign it and Barcelona will have to look elsewhere to raise transfer funds.}

Thanks again Ed! My guess would be possibly Luis Suarez leaving if they need to balance the books!

Hey Ed002,

I trust that you and the other editors are all well!

I'm just wondering if you're any closer to being able to give that Barcelona transfer roundup?

Apologies if you don't yet have the time, but thanks for all your great work you do for us regardless!

{Ed002's Note - When I get the chance.}

Hey Eds,

Just wanting your personal opinion on what Barcelona's logic is in taking back Gerard Deulofeu from Everton. He did little to impress there, nor in his loan at ACMilan, so what makes Barcelona feel he can add to their team. Seems particularly odd given they already have Neymar, Messi and Suarez in their forward area!

Thanks in advance

Reid the Red

{Ed001's Note - it is about selling him on for a profit.}

Fair enough Ed, I suppose they are in need of any cash they can get. Cheers for the quick response as always and hope you're all doing well.

Hi Ed,

Now Coutinho seemingly won't be arriving today, who are Barca going for as alternatives?

Is it possible they end up with nobody?

Thanks again!

Reid the Red

{Ed002's Note - Lemar and Di Maria are players they have shown an interest in (in addition to Coutinho).}
