Hey Ed's any truth of interest in suarez to juventus?

Thanks for all the info this summer.

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona has a number of players available and have directly offered Suarez to three sides I am aware of - including Juventus.}

1.) 22 Aug 2019 09:03:57
Thank you for your response. hope it ain't too crazy whichever part of the world you at.

{Ed002's Note - Not too bad.}

2.) 19 Dec 2019 19:30:49
Not a problem, thanks Ed002.

22 Nov 2017 13:36:49
can any of the eds with info shed some light into the messi contract situation?

nothing from the player but the president of the club has said he's signed it and Javier tebas has said the same unless he's been lied to, and xavi spoke about it recently. just wondering what is the truth if anyone knows

{Ed002's Note - I think someone has been teasing you about Josep Maria Bartomeu saying that Messi has signed a new contract. I am certainly not aware of him making any such statement.}

22 Jul 2016 09:24:34
Eds are Barcelona interested in any RB's? or are they planning on using sergi roberto in that role as the media suggests.

{Ed001's Note - yes they are looking to sign a right back.}

26 May 2016 09:38:11
Can the Eds shed some light into the situation at barcelona?

any truth into the Javi Mascherano and Dani Alves rumours?

who have they got lined up to fill in those starter positions.

also has anyone made any offers for the likes of Neymar and Suarez?

{Ed002's Note - Both are available. PSG and other previously interested parties are keeping clear of Dani Alves nowadays - although he will be available in the summer and there are efforts being made to get Juventus to make a bid. Mascherano could be available but price will be an issue. There are no offers for the other.}

1.) 07 Jun 2016 11:29:03
are barcelona looking for a RB now that alves has decided to leave?

and with them being short in defense are they looking for a CB?

{Ed002's Note - Yes - and it has all been done to death.}

2.) 07 Jun 2016 16:08:09
ok will just use the search function thanks for your time.

{Ed002's Note - Try the European pages as well.}

I am aware that its silly season and the eds probably can't wait for this window to end.

if anyone with some info can answer these queries i would greatly appreciate it. if not i understand.

1) what's all this neymar talk to madrid or man utd? any legs to it?

2) messi did say in some recent article that he does not envision himself playing anywhere else other than barca, does this play a role into neymar thinking he wants to be the go to guy in another team?

3) Sandro, Munir, and Sergi roberto have any teams stepped up interest or made any bids for these players?

your time is appreciated, even if it means you read this and delete it.

{Ed002's Note - (1) As I have explained before, Barcelona wish to start to rebuild their side around Neymar and need to raise cash to do that. There are a four issues that could adversely influence what will happen with that plan going forward - and that could see him sold. If circumstances are such that he is to be available at some point, then the known interest of Chelsea, PSG and Manchester United will no doubt be tested. It would not be out of the question for Manchester City to also think about putting a package together. But any move in the short to medium term is very unlikely. (2) No. (c) Barcelona's Sando Ramirez is surplus to requirements and may be sold in January. Marseille, Spurs and Roma have a declared interest although with Marseille seemingly having struck a deal with another target they are likely out of the market for Sandro. Interest in Munir from the EPL has drifted away for now. Roberto would be available at the right price but EPL sides are not looking for a January move. There was interest from Inter but they have dug this enormous financial hole over a transfer so nothing will happen immediately.}

How the mighty have fallen, mighty low.

I have no idea why messi is walking around like he's on the beach but he has to take the blame for a no show again.

Xavi, iniesta, cesc, = pass pass pass

mascherano, alves, adriano=conceed.

brillaint combo they have right there.

Neymar is probably the most expensive flop in history, I really don't see how he can offer them anything different to the diving classes.

Busquets was slow. think mertesacker as CDM and why oh why sanchez came on with 5 mins to go is beyond me.

Hey ed, have the target for Barcelona changed?

and has there been any recent interest in coutinho? they seem to play him as if they auditioning to sell him, he just does not fit their team.

any response is appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, I would strike Nicolo Zaniolo from the list. There have been no offers for Coutinho.}

ed i know you don't like to talk release clauses and you did mention clauses work within a certain legal framework aka, the iberian teams when they need to buy players from another team in the region.

does this mean that for neymar to go to psg, they would have to give him the money to buy himself out, so he can join them as a free agent or something to that cause? i only say that as i understood that's something that happened with herrera to man utd.

obviously i could be talking complete bollocks, and it may not matter if the recent news is that he will stay with barca.

{Ed002's Note - They cannot give him the money to buy himself out of the contract. If they did it would pretty much double the cost as the money would be unearned income taxed at the highest rate of 45%.}

From what I hear its because he told messi if he does not stop being a diva he will get john terry to have a look at his mrs.

Thats true, he never gets tested as they have possesion way too much, but its not likely to change unless they decide to change their ways, and they don't do anything which is unbarcelona like, unless its done under the desk with bundles of cash.

even thou, busquets as a CDM is not all that bad, they already have 3-5 world class players and adding some really good players just means he will continue playing and go unnoticed, perhaps they appreciate his time wasting and diving skills, not seen a lot fo players who can do that. him and pepe right now are the messi and ronaldo in that category. {Ed001's Note - I would have to agree, Busquets is certainly one of the best playacters in the world. It is amazing how many times he turns over possession only to regain it through a blatant and pathetic swan dive.}

Ed, I don't think barcelona are too far off, if they stop buying forwards and buy CB's and a CDM they should be fine.

I think selling neymar and alexis should be their priority.

bringing in Aguero should be their priority.

I think playing two up front should be the way they should approach going forward.

Xavi does not add much besides passing, and passing for the sake of it is pointless.

if they want to go 3 upfront the ideal players are Reus, Messi and Aguero, players who will run, create and defend.

iniesta or cesc should replace xavi, I don't see him having any impact.

Busquets thrives as the holding midfielder, but not when their defense is suspect. a somewhat pacey CB with positional awareness is a must, Hummels perhaps, and selling Dani Alves would go along way.

They need a RB who does more than spend 70% of his time as a winger making the other winger play more central and having too many players in the middle with no one to cross to as they are all midgets.

Since they won't be selling neymar, adding reus or aguero should be their target, selling of Alves and Sanchez. and getting a CB.

they are not going to get a CDM to replace busquets and to be fair besides his play acting, he is one of the best at his position in the game, only Vidal.

Yaya toure and alonso are on the wrong side of 30 and they can't get any better so long term he would be the best bet. {Ed001's Note - I am sorry but Busquets is simply not one of the best or even close to it. He is average. He has no positional sense, his passing is ok, but his vision is lacking, he has no pace, can't tackle, can't shoot, is tall but not particularly strong in the air. He is lucky he is friendly with Messi and is at a club where the style of play doesn't expose his weaknesses. After all, they keep the ball so much you never really get to see how poor he is defensively that much.}
